Mumin is a writer on Islamic affairs and a former journalist at Q-International. He has written about various Muslim communities in the UK and on the relationship with the host community and vice versa.

Mumin holds a black belt in Kyokushin Karate and is a former England international. He has over twenty years experience in teaching martial arts to children and adults alike from across the racial divide in the East End.

Mumin is interested in Egyptology and the Mughal period in India
